Growth differentiation factor 11 (GDF11)

Growth differentiation factor 11 (GDF11) is a member of transforming growth factor beta super family and bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) subfamily. It is synthesized as an inactive preprotein and after proteolytic processing, secreted as an active disulfide linked homodimer. GDF11 plays an important role in the cell growth and differentiation in embryonic and adult tissues. Recent evidence suggests that it also plays an important role in the tissue rejuvenation and is considered to be one of the top 10 discoveries of 2014, by Science magazine. The level of GDF11 declines in aging mice and systemic supplementation of GDF11 improves heart, brain and skeletal muscle function in aging mice.

As part of your research, if you are interested in measuring the levels of GDF11 in your precious samples, Novatein biosciences is offering a high quality, sensitive GDF11 Elisa kit with guaranteed results.

In addition, we have a range (1000+) of convenient and easy to use ELISA kits.
