Description CDCA8 Human Recombinant fused with a 21 amino acid His tag at N-terminus produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 283 amino acids (19-280a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 31.6kDa. The CDCA8 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Protein Background CDCA8 is a component of the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC). The CPC complex has crucial functions at the centromere in ensuring accurate chromosome placement and isolation and is obligatory for chromatin-induced microtubule stabilization and spindle assembly. In the complex, CDCA8 protein is needed to direct the CPC to centromeric DNA. Removal of CDCA8 delays mitotic progression and causes kinetochore-spindle to mis-attach.
Expression host Escherichia Coli.
Synonyms Cell division cycle associated 8, BOR, hDasraB, FLJ12042, MESRGP, Pluripotent embryonic stem cell-related gene 3 protein, PESCRG3, BOREALIN.
Reagent Appearance Sterile Filtered colorless solution.
Stability CDCA8 should be stored desiccated below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
