Description FOS-B Human Recombinant (a.a. 113-151) expressed in E.coli, shows a 32 kDa SDS-PAGE (Including GST).The FOS-B is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Protein Background Fos B encodes a nuclear protein of 338 amino acids which has 70% homology with c-Fos, exhibits similar kinetics of expression as c-Fos and forms heterodimers with both c-Jun and Jun B which bind to TRE DNA response elements. Functional homologs of c-Fos and Fos- B include Fra-1 and Fra-2 genes. The 4 members of Fos gene family are: FOS, FOSB, FOSL1, and FOSL2. These genes encode leucine zipper proteins which can dimerize with proteins of the JUN family, thus forming the transcription factor complex AP-1. The FOS proteins act as regulators of cell proliferation, differentiation, and transformation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms exist for Fos B.
Expression host Escherichia Coli.
Synonyms Protein fosB, G0/G1 switch regulatory protein 3, FOSB, G0S3, AP-1, GOS3, GOSB, MGC42291, DKFZp686C0818, FOS-B.
