Description | LAIR1 Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing amino acids 105 and having a molecular mass of 11.5 kDa. The extracellular domain of LAIR-1 (22-125aa) was overexpressed in E.coli, and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. |
Protein Background | LAIR1 is a glycoprotein (~32kDa) expressed on the surface of the majority of human peripheral blood mononuclear leukocytes including T cells, B cells, NK cells, macrophages and dendritic cells. LAIR-1 functions as an inhibitory receptor in NK cells, T cells and B cells. Inhibitory receptors control the immune response to prevent lysis of cells recognized as self. Lair1 consists of a leader sequence, extracellular domain, transmembrane domain, cytoplasmic region. LAIR1 is a member of both the immunoglobulin superfamily and the leukocyte-associated inhibitory receptor family. LAIR1 maps to a region of 19q13.4 labeled the leukocyte receptor cluster, which contains at least 29 genes encoding leukocyte-expressed receptors of the immunoglobulin superfamily. |
Expression host | Escherichia Coli. |
Synonyms | Leukocyte-associated immunoglobulin-like receptor 1, LAIR-1, hLAIR1, CD305 antigen, LAIR1, CD305. |
Reagent Appearance | Sterile filtered colorless solution. |
Stability | Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles. |
