Protein Background Nucleobindin-2 (NUCB2) is a EF-hand calcium-binding protein. Nucleobindin-2 takes part in calcium homeostasis and is a multifunctional protein that interacts with Ca(2+) nucleic acids & various regulatory proteins in different signaling pathways. NUCB2 is localized in neuronal perikarya and dendrites of mouse brain.
