Description NUTF2 Recombinant E.coli produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 147 amino acids (1-127 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 16.6 kDa. The NUTF2 is fused to 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Protein Background NUTF2 assists in protein transport into the nucleus and interacts with the nucleoporin p62 and with Ran. NUTF2 plays a role at a relatively late stage of nuclear protein import, subsequent to the initial docking of nuclear import ligand at the nuclear envelope. NUTF2 is part of a multicomponent system of cytosolic factors that come together at the pore complex during nuclear import.
Expression host Escherichia Coli.
Synonyms Nuclear transport factor 2, NTF-2, Placental protein 15, PP15, NUTF2, NTF2.
Reagent Appearance Sterile filtered colorless solution.
Stability NUTF2 Human although stable at 4°C for 1 week, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Please prevent freeze thaw cycles.
