Description |
RPL12 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 188 amino acids (1-165 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 20.2kDa. RPL12 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. |
Protein Background |
Ribosomes, the organelles which catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are comprised of four RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. Ribosomal Protein L12 (RPL12) protein is a member of the L11P family of ribosomal proteins. RPL12 is a component of the 60S subunit, which is located in the cytoplasm. RPL12 binds directly to the 26S rRNA. |
Expression host |
E.coli. |
