Description |
JDP2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 187 amino acids (1-163 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 21.2kDa.JDP2 is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. |
Protein Background |
Jun dimerization protein 2 (JDP2) is a component of the AP-1 transcription factor which inhibits transactivation mediated by the Jun family of proteins. JDP2 is involved in various transcriptional responses associated with AP-1 such as UV-induced apoptosis, cell differentiation, tumorigenesis and antitumogeneris. In addition, JDP2 can act as a repressor by recruiting histone deacetylase 3/HDAC3 to the promoter region of JUN. JDP2 controls transcription via direct regulation of the modification of histones and the assembly of chromatin. |
Expression host |
Escherichia Coli. |
Synonyms |
Jun dimerization protein 2, JDP2, JUNDM2, Progesterone Receptor Co-Activator. |
Reagent Appearance |
Sterile Filtered colorless solution. |
Stability |
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles. |
