$303.00

Data sheet

Storage HEV ORF2 protein although stable at 4°C for 1 week, should be stored below -18°C. Please prevent freeze thaw cycles.
Formulation 20mM Tris-HCl pH-8, 8M urea and 10mM B-ME.
Purity HEV ORF2 Protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining).
Applications HEV ORF2 antigen is suitable for ELISA and Western blots, excellent antigen for detection of HEV with minimal specificity problems.
Description The E.coli derived HEV protein genotype-2 is fused with beta-galactosidase at the N-Terminus and contains the HEV immunodominant ORF2 633-659 a.a.
Protein Background Hepatitis E virus (HEV), the major etiologic agent of enterically transmitted non-A, non-B hepatitis worldwide, is a spherical, non-enveloped, single stranded RNA virus that is approximately 32 to 34 nm in diameter. HEV belongs to a genus of HEV-like viruses (unassigned genus). HEV has a single-stranded polyadenylated RNA genome of approximately 8 kb. Based on its physicochemical properties it is presumed to be a calici-like virus.
Purification Method HEV ORF2 protein was purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.
