CD83 is a single-pass type I membrane protein and part of the immunoglobulin superfamily of receptors. CD83 involves in the regulation of antigen presentation. A soluble form of CD83 can bind to dendritic cells and inhibit their maturation. There were 3 transcript variants encoding different isoforms for CD83. |
