Data sheet

Formulation SPRR1B filtered (0.4 um) and lyophilized from 0.5mg/ml in 0.05M phosphate buffer and 0.075M NaCl, pH 7.4.
Solubility It is recommended to add 200ul deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. SPRR1B is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture.
Purity Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Description SPRR1B Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain (a.a 2-89) containing 97 amino acids including a 9 a.a N-terminal His tag. The total molecular mass is 10.9kDa (calculated).
Protein Background Small Proline-Rich Protein 1B (SPRR1B) is a keratinocyte protein which first appears in the cell cytosol, but eventually becomes cross-linked to membrane proteins by transglutaminase. SPRR1B is cross-linked to membrane proteins by transglutaminase leading to formation of an insoluble envelope. SPRR1B functions as both amine donor and acceptor in transglutaminase-mediated cross-linkage. SPRR1B is expressed in the course of differentiation in squamous tissues such as epidermis, esophagus, tongue or trachea.
Expression host Escherichia Coli.
Synonyms Cornifin-B, 14.9 kDa pancornulin, Small proline-rich protein IB, SPR-IB, SPRR1B, SPRR1, GADD33, CORNIFIN.
Reagent Appearance Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Stability Store lyophilized protein at -20°C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4°C.
