PCSK1N inhibits prohormone convertase 1, which regulates the proteolytic cleavage of neuroendocrine peptide precursors. PCSK1Nslows down convertase-mediated processing of proopiomelanocortin and proenkephalin and also monitors the intracellular timing of PCSK1. |
