Background | Osteoprotegerin (OPG), also known as osteoclastogenesis inhibitory factor (OCIF), or tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 11B (TNFRSF11B), is a protein that is encoded by the TNFRSF11B gene.Osteoprotegerin is a cytokine receptor, and a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily. |
Assay principle | This Mouse Osteoprotegerin ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay technology. Mouse Osteoprotegerin specific antibodies were precoated onto 96-well plates. The Mouse Osteoprotegerin specific detection antibodies were biotinylated. The test samples and biotinylated detection antibodies were added to the wells subsequently and then followed by washing the plate. Streptavidin-HRP was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow color is proportional to the Mouse Osteoprotegerin amount of sample captured in plate. |
