Description PMP2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 132 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 14.9 kDa.
Protein Background PMP2 is a small protein found in peripheral nerve myelin and spinal cord myelin, belongs to a family of fatty acid binding proteins. PMP2 partly decreases the inhibitory effect of T suppressors in the culture of immune lymph node cells. PMP2 protein is a lipid transport protein in schwann cells.
Expression host Escherichia Coli.
Synonyms P2, MP2, FABP8, M-FABP, Myelin P2 protein, PMP2, Peripheral Myelin Protein-2.
Reagent Appearance Sterile Filtered colorless solution.
Stability Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
