1. Recombinant human CST4 standard: 3 ng/vial - 2.
2. One 96-well plate precoated with anti-human CST4 Ab
3. Sample diluent buffer: 12 mL x 1
4. HRP conjugated anti-Human CST4 Ab: 1 vial, dilution 1:1000.
5. Detection Antibody diluent buffer: 12 mL x 1
6. 20 x Wash Solution: 25 ml x 1.
7. TMB color developing agent A: 6 ml.
8. TMB color developing agent B: 6 ml.
9. TMB stop solution: 6ml.
Background
Cystatin S is a member of family 2 of the cystatin superfamily. This protein is expressed in submandibular and sublingual saliva but not in parotid saliva (at protein level). It strongly inhibits papain and ficin, partially inhibits stem bromelain and bovine cathepsin C, but does not inhibit porcine cathepsin B or clostripain. Papain is inhibited non-competitively.
