Description DDT Recombinant E.coli produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 138 amino acids (1-118 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 14.8 kDa. The DDT is fused to a 20 amino acids His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Protein Background DDT is an enzyme that catayzes the tautomerization of D-dopachrome to give 5,6-dihydroxyindole (DHI). DDT is part of the family of lyases, specifically the carboxy-lyases, which cleave carbon-carbon bonds. DDT shares a homologous amino acid sequence (33% identical) with MIF and has similar tautomerase activity. DDT functions a proinflammatory cytokine.
Expression host Escherichia Coli.
Synonyms EC 4.1.1.84, DDCT, D-dopachtome decarboxylase, D-Dopachrome Tautomerase.
Reagent Appearance Sterile filtered colorless solution.
Stability Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
