Protein Background HDAC2 is a member of the histone deacetylase family that performs through the construction of large multiprotein complexes and are in charge of the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal region of the core histones. In addition, HDAC2 has a vital part in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental procedures.
