Description Recombinant Human METTL1 produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 296 amino acids (1-276a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 33.6kDa.METTL1 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Protein Background METTL1 is recognized as tRNA (guanine-N(7)-)-methyltransferase that is a part of the methyltransferase superfamily. METTL1 displays high sequence similarity to yeast ORF YDL201w and can be inactivated by phosphorylation. METTL1 protein has a conserved S-adenosylmethionine-binding motif and ccatalyzes the formation of N(7)-methylguanine at position 46 (m7G46) in tRNA.
Expression host Escherichia Coli.
Synonyms Methyltransferase-Like 1, TRM8, tRNA(m7G46)-methyltransferase, tRNA (guanine-N(7)-)-methyltransferase , C12orf1, YDL201w, D1075-like gene product, FLJ95748, EC 2.1.1.33.
Reagent Appearance Sterile Filtered clear solution.
Stability Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
