Protein Background | Thiosulfate sulfurtransferase like domain containing 1 (TSTD1) is a member of a family of transferases, specifically the sulfurtransferases, which transfer sulfur-containing groups. TSTD1 is localized around the nuclear membranes. TSTD1 is expressed in a number of human tissues, including the kidney, liver, skeletal muscle, heart, colon, thymus, spleen, placenta and lung. TSTD1 may participate in cyanide detoxification, the formation of iron-sulfur proteins, and the modification of sulfur-containing enzymes. |
Expression host | Escherichia Coli. |
Synonyms | Thiosulfate sulfurtransferase/rhodanese-like domain-containing protein 1, TSTD1, KAT. |
Reagent Appearance | Sterile Filtered colorless solution. |
Stability | TSTD1 should be stored desiccated below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
