Description TSTD1 Human Recombinant fused with a 20amino acid His tag at N-terminus produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 135 amino acids (1-115 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 14.6kDa. The TSTD1 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Protein Background Thiosulfate sulfurtransferase like domain containing 1 (TSTD1) is a member of a family of transferases, specifically the sulfurtransferases, which transfer sulfur-containing groups. TSTD1 is localized around the nuclear membranes. TSTD1 is expressed in a number of human tissues, including the kidney, liver, skeletal muscle, heart, colon, thymus, spleen, placenta and lung. TSTD1 may participate in cyanide detoxification, the formation of iron-sulfur proteins, and the modification of sulfur-containing enzymes.
Expression host Escherichia Coli.
Synonyms Thiosulfate sulfurtransferase/rhodanese-like domain-containing protein 1, TSTD1, KAT.
Reagent Appearance Sterile Filtered colorless solution.
Stability TSTD1 should be stored desiccated below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Physical appearance In vitro gluconeogenesis assay in primary hepatocytes was performed, showing the Adiponectin human derived from mammalian cells can inhibit glucose production. The ED50 was ~6 ug/ml.
