Formulation |
TPPP filtered (0.4 um) and lyophilized from 0.5mg/ml in 0.05M phosphate buffer and 0.075M NaCl, pH 7.4. |
Solubility |
It is recommended to add 200ul deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. TPPP is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture. |
Purity |
Greater than 85.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
Description |
TPPP Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 229 amino acids including a 10 a.a N-terminal His tag. The total molecular mass is 24.9kDa (calculated). |
Protein Background |
Tubulin Polymerization Promoting Protein (TPPP) probably plays a part in the polymerization of tubulin into microtubules, as well as in microtubule bundling and the stabilization of existing microtubules, thus maintaining the integrity of the microtubule network. TPPP may also have a role in mitotic spindle assembly and nuclear envelope breakdown. TPPP/p235 level in cerebrospinal fluid is considerably higher in multiple sclerosis patients. |
Expression host |
Escherichia Coli. |
Synonyms |
Tubulin polymerization-promoting protein, TPPP, 25 kDa brain-specific protein, TPPP/p25, p24, p25-alpha, TPPP1, p25, p25alpha. |
Reagent Appearance |
Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. |
Stability |
Store lyophilized protein at -20°C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4°C. |
