Background |
Heparin-binding epidermal growth factor (HB-EGF) is a member of the epidermal growth factor family, mitogen, but also transforming growth factor alpha (TGF-alpha), dual tone protein (AR), rats schwanoma derivative growth factor (SDGF)vaccinia virus growth factor (VGF), as well as various for HER2/erbB2/neu receptor ligand. Many of these transmembrane precursor biological activity seems to play a role in nearly adjacent to the autocrine stimulation of cells. |
Assay principle |
This Human HB-EGF ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay technology. Human HB-EGF specific antibodies were precoated onto 96-well plates. The Human HB-EGF specific detection antibodies were biotinylated. The test samples and biotinylated detection antibodies were added to the wells subsequently and then followed by washing the plate. Streptavidin-HRP was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow color is proportional to the Human HB-EGF amount of sample captured in plate. |
