EPH Receptor A4 (Epha4), is a single-pass type 1 membrane protein which is a part of the protein kinase superfamily and ephrin receptor subfamily. Epha4 is a receptor tyrosine kinase which binds membrane-bound ephrin family ligands residing on adjacent cells, leading to contact-dependent bidirectional signaling into neighboring cells mainly in the nervous system and in erythropoiesis. |
